International Student Address Change Form

Federal regulations require individuals in F-1 student status to update their permanent and US residential address, whenever it changes, to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) via HWS. This is particularly important for graduated students who are now pursuing Optional Practical Training (OPT).

Address changes must be reported within 10 days of a move. To fulfill the address update requirement to maintain your status, follow the steps below.

Fill out this form with your new address and submit. We will then update your SEVIS record, which reports the change to DHS.
If you are on OPT and have already updated the SEVIS portal, please also submit this form to us so we can update our records.
Campus departmental addresses, P.O. Boxes, and foreign addresses do not satisfy the U.S. residential address requirement.
You must submit a new form every time you change your address. This will help keep your visa status valid.
